The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) recently opened a new access ramp leading from 11th Street, SE to westbound I-695. A prior access ramp was closed in June 2014 to allow the final construction of this new ramp as part of the 11th Street Bridge project.
The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will hold a community meeting on Monday, October 6 to provide updates on various DDOT projects of interest to the Ward 8 community.

On or about Monday, July 21, 2014, the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will start building portions of the Anacostia Riverwalk Trail Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens Segment on Anacostia Avenue NE and Hayes/Jay Street NE. Construction is anticipated to take about four months to complete.
