T3 has worked on several Anacostia Waterfront Initiative (AWI) projects, performing design concept and traffic analysis work for the Barney Circle and Southeast Boulevard Transportation Study and South Capitol Street Trail.
On or about Monday, July 21, 2014, the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will start building portions of the Anacostia Riverwalk Trail Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens Segment on Anacostia Avenue NE and Hayes/Jay Street NE. Construction is anticipated to take about four months to complete.
District Department of Transportation Project Manager E.J. Simie recently shared with Advisory Neighborhood Commission 7D the latest information on construction of the Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens Segment of the Anacostia Riverwalk Trail.
The South Capitol Street Corridor Project Team continues to identify opportunities to improve connectivity throughout the project corridor. Phase 1 of the project will now include a new pedestrian and bike trail connection along the north side of Suitland Parkway linking the new Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge to Firth Sterling Avenue SE and the Anacostia Metro station.
