The Project Completion Phase (Phase II) of construction for the 11th Street Bridge Project is anticipated to offer a number of contracting opportunities for qualified Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs). A DBE goal of 24.5 percent has been established for all work associated with this new second phase of the project. In addition, there will be 23 “On- the- Job Training” (OJT) positions available. Project construction is planned to be completed late 2015.
As part of the 11th Street Bridge construction project, contractors for the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) may close lanes during off peak travel times on the 11th Street bridges, related ramps, and portions of the Southeast/Southwest Freeway, I-295/DC 295 and local streets until Friday, July 5, 2013.
The 11th Street Bridge Project Field Office hosted nearly 40 people at a recent presentation on Cost Estimating from the 11th Street Bridge Project’s General Contractor, Skanska-Facchina JV.
