  • 11th Street Bridge Project formally approved and earned Federal Highway Administration Environmental Excellence Award

  • Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge rededicated with completion of South Capitol Street near-term improvements
  • Alignment for new Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge identified

  • Anacostia Waterfront Initiative (AWI) Transportation Master Plan released

  • Kenilworth Avenue Corridor Study completed

  • Anacostia Waterfront Initiative (AWI) Transportation Plan released, identifying transportation improvements to create a world-class waterfront
  • 11th Street Bridges Replacement Study began
